The Federation of Associations of Building Contractors Cyprus (O.S.E.O.K.) targets beyond the quality of the project ensured through a properly organized and controlled contractor and the right awareness and protection of the citizen / consumer who as such is most often and the owner of a project. In these efforts have created a hotline with the citizen / consumer, the telephone number 77778004 for telephone and written communication to the email address 77778004@oseok.org.cy.

Amongst the obligations of the parties to a construction, the owner of the project / the employer who has a contracted a contractor to build his house, is to ensure the existence of Health and Safety plan for both phases (in the design and the implementation of activities) of the project to construct a residence. This obligation is of paramount importance, but unfortunately people do not know or even those receiving some information from the organized contractor, ignore it and do not take into account the possible consequences after an accident on the premises where the work is performed. Legal and economic consequences for themselves while not forgetting and social consequences such as loss of bodily functions or even the life of our fellow man.

The above resulted for O.S.E.O.K in one of the reasons for creating the hotline for the citizen / consumer to receive information and also to protect himself and help actively in creating a safer working environment in compliance with relevant laws and better delivery of quality construction.

The Federation, through the hotline is available to both the citizen / owner of a project and the contractor to be informed about their obligations in carrying out a project and to resolve problems that may occur.
