These educational programs are run under contract for services through the Transition Facility 2005 by the European Union for Cyprus which is funded by the European Union and the Human Resource Development Authority.
They provide an important opportunity for education on safety and health for the acquisition of skills required by the relevant legislation.
Program Safety and Health in construction "
The program will develop general and specific health and safety issues and preventive measures in construction,. It will analyze the management of health and safety on site, the role of stakeholders in the project, legislation and European directives, the assessment and management of business risk, prevention of security issues (i.e. working at height, project machinery), prevention of physical, chemical and biological factors (i.e. noise, vibration, dust). The program will include exercises and occasional studies, where students will check a virtual site with checklists and assess the risks involved.
