The Contractors Association of Paphos in the early years of establishment, with the help of the Federation of Associations of Building Contractors in Cyprus, dealt with various issues such as staff shortages in the construction industry in the province of Paphos, the observance of the Law "On Registration and Control Contractors' The Safety of Workers in the construction industry, etc.

Each year the Association of Contractors Paphos awards the first three Honor students of the Technical Building School of Paphos and Polis , with prize money and plaques.

There are also occasional meetings and conferences with various professional bodies in the province and with relevant bodies such as ministers, MPs, Paphos District Officer, Mayor, Trade Unions, Federation of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Civil Engineering Association, Association of Architects Paphos, Consultants, etc., towards resolving various problems of the construction industry.

Occasionally, the Association submits its views on the various problems of the construction industry to local television stations in the district of Paphos and to local newspapers or Pan Cyprian.

The Contractors Association of Paphos, in the context of efforts to upgrade its services, and improve its image, has made huge efforts and has managed to publish an Association magazine under the name "House & Building" which is first the magazine issued by a Contractors Association. The magazine includes a variety of articles relating to the construction industry in general. The magazine is circulated to all members of the Association, all other Provincial Associations, and all professional bodies, as well as Government Departments, but also to Partners in Related Professions.

In February 2006 the Association organized a very successful Workshop on "Construction Management" which was attended not only by our members but also by Civil Engineers and Architects and Engineers of municipalities of the province of Paphos.

The Association in the context of efforts to upgrade training for the workers of its members, and the scientific staff continued the organization of seminars. In this context, it organized the following Seminars, partly under the authority and grant the Human Resource Development Authority in an effort to reduce the cost of participation of stakeholders, both for members and for other stakeholders:

" The findings of this study helped tremendously to support the positions of the Association who had consulted with the Minister of Labor to pursue licensing of employment of foreign skilled workers (albeit very limited).

Each year the Associations annual dance is held with great success. All the members of the Paphos District Office, municipal and local authorities, representatives of the Federation, other Provincial Associations and many other officials are present.
